South Park is Here to Stay (At Least for 3 More Years)!

According to Warming Glow, Matt Stone and Trey Parker have signed a new contract with Comedy Central guaranteeing at least three more years of South Park.

This contract gives these scandalous comics five more seasons of crude humor and hilariously controversial content.

I remember being too young to watch South Park when it premiered on Comedy Central in 1997. I was 9 years old, and my mother hated the show… probably more than she hated Beavis & Butthead. I had an older sister who lovingly allowed me to watch South Park in her room while my mom was sleeping. Ever since then, I have been a fan of Kenny, Cartman, Stan, and Kyle.

South Park has had its ups and downs as a series. Honestly, I thought that other than the few gem episodes in seasons 14 and 13, they were pretty lousy. After watching season 15 episode 7 “You’re Getting Old“, I first thought that Matt and Trey made this episode to tell audiences they were sick of doing the same thing over and over again. Much to my surprise, they came out of that episode even more popular, and delivered comedy gold through the remainder of season 15. I watched the finale yesterday, which was nothing short of hilarious.

"... And then I pulled out my GUN!!!"

I am seeing on other forums that some fans think that South Park has The Simpsons syndrome, and is being dragged out longer than it should be with a guaranteed 20 seasons. To them I say: Respect their Authoritah!

Kudos, Comedy Central, for recognizing that poop jokes and kicking celebrities while they are down… or dead… will never go out of style.

Neither will this...
