TNT Orders 10 Episodes of ‘Legends’ Starring Sean Bean

Well, a new show, about undercover work, starring Sean Bean. I’m sure this series won’t end with the untimely death of its lead character. That would be getting ahead of ourselves though. Despite starring the ‘Human Spoiler Alert’ himself, this is a show, based upon the novel by Robert Littell, Legends tells the story of…

“a deep-cover operative who has an uncanny ability to transform himself into a different person for each job. But his own identity comes into question when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn’t who he thinks he is.”

Take a look at the trailer…

The story seems interesting, and Sean Bean is an extremely underrated actor who appears to lend some gravitas to this role, setting this up to be an expected ‘must watch’, something TNT is in need of since the cancellation of Southland. This also comes from Homeland producer Howard Gordon, who also worked on shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, and 24.

So aside from Ned Stark Sean Bean, the TNT drama will also feature a couple of Grizzly Bomb favorites. First is Ali Larter, famous for her roles in horror movies like House on Haunted Hill and the Final Destination franchise, as well as Varsity Blues and NBC’s Heroes, Larter has made a name for herself with genre-roles. Now she will star opposite of a man who played integral parts in such legendary (see what I did there) mythologies as Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, and James Bond. They will be joined by Tina Majorino, who Veronica Mars fans now better as ‘Mac’ or everyone else will recognize as ‘Deb’ from Napoleon Dynamite.

Legends

Aside from these two lovely ladies, there is another actor present in the trailer who I am a big fan of, Mr. Billy Brown. Brown is no stranger to television as he’s recently appeared on shows like Southland, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, and The Following. Where I first noticed him however, and with what I will likely forever associate him with was the short-lived FX show Light’s Out where he played boxer Richard ‘Death Row’ Reynolds.

Legends
“Can you direct me towards the nearest Orange Julius stand?”

Here’s hoping Mr. Bean can last the duration of the show… (Video has Spoilers…obviously)

Legends is set to premiere on TNT in the summer of 2014.
