Fans of guilty pleasures, I mean, uh, really intense and well-thought out original horror programming have cause to celebrate! The third and last season of the vampire/werewolf/Frankenstein/gypsy horror drama mashup, Hemlock Grove, has been announced to premiere October 23rd on Netflix.
If you haven’t pulled the trigger on this insanely self-indulgent series, now is the time. The show is essentially a supernatural thriller where all the characters have mom issues and a hidden monster, sometimes literally, always figuratively. Eli Roth (The Green Inferno, Cabin Fever, Hostel) produces the series that takes places in a super-poor (but somehow opulent) tiny Pennsylvania town occupied by many a monster.
The show focuses on two unlikely friends, Roman Godfrey (Bill Skarsgård) and Peter Rumaneck (Landon Liboiron), each possessing a horror-soaked secret in a town of unfathomable mystery and influence. Nerds might enjoy X-Men star, Famke Janssen, as the penultimate creepy mom.
Tune in just in time for Halloween!
