There have been numerous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video games released, and depending on how old you are, you will have your own personal favorite. For me growing up in the 80s, I would always hit the arcades to play on one of the coolest games around, the Turtles arcade game.
In 1991/1992 the game had a successful port to the SNES as Turtles in Time and to the Sega Megadrive as The Hyperstone Heist, and they were both great to play. Even more awesome you can get this game on XBox marketplace.
Well now, Neca has unleashed plans to produce Turtles arcade game figures! This trend of releasing computer game styled collectible figures has given us some great pieces over the years. Robocop, Predator, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees have all had the retro gaming figure makeover and are highly sought after by collectors.
Neca gave more information out during the SDCC, but there is a little bit for us to get our teeth into. This is the official press release from the company;
We couldn’t be more excited to announce two Comic-Con exclusive sets that have been in the works for a while now! From the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4-player arcade game, we’ll have 4-figure box sets for both the Turtles and the Foot Clan coming to San Diego Comic Con.

Cowabunga, dude! This SDCC-exclusive box set is based on the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4-player co-op arcade game and features brand new figure sculpts and deluxe packaging. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael stand approximately 6” tall and feature over 30 points of articulation, including double knee joints to fully showcase their mastery of the martial arts. Special paint deco reflects the Turtles’ in-game appearance. The box set is packed with accessories, including signature weapons, interchangeable hands, pizza power-up and more. The set comes in gorgeous, display-friendly 5th panel window box packaging that re-creates the look of the actual arcade cabinet!
Pretty flipping great, or you could say they are totally tubular! The sculpts as you would expect from Neca are superb and perfectly capture that 16 bit style.
