Shout! Studios have released the official trailer for their genre festival hit film, I’ll Take Your Dead. The film follows a single father and his daughter as he tries to navigate the world of disposing of corpses for people who don’t want their business made public.
Director Chad Archibald (Bite, The Heretics) has teamed up once again with writer Jayme LaForest (Bite, The Heretics) to bring this tale of unnerving horror to the big screen. I’ll Take Your Dead stars Aidan Devine (A History of Violence, Suicide Squad), Ava Preston (DC’s Shazam!, The Kennedys), Toronto International Film Festival’s 2018 Rising Star Jessica Salgueiro (Workin’ Moms, The Strain), and Canadian Screen Award Winner Ari Millen (Orphan Black, The Death and Life of John F. Donovan).

The trailer also shows off cinematographer Jeff Maher’s stunning work. Capturing icy countryside and making a farmhouse feel like a Gothic haunted house out of an old-school horror movie, the film has a dark beauty about it and a world filled with sheer visual candy alone.
I’ll Take Your Dead premiered back at the 2018 Calgary International Film Festival where it garnered strong reviews before going on to screen at Hard:Line Film Festival in Germany, GrimmFest in the United Kingdom and Terror Molins in Spain. The film was later picked up by Shout! Studios for distribution on multiple platforms, including a limited theatrical run later this May in advance of a VOD and Blu-ray/DVD release via the newly formed Shout! Studios.
The official synopsis is below:
“William has a simple job: he makes dead bodies disappear. This isn’t something he likes to or even wants to do, but through circumstances out of his control, his little farmhouse in the country has become a dumping ground for the casualties of the gang-related murders in the nearby city. His daughter Gloria has become used to rough looking men dropping off corpses and is even convinced that some of them are haunting their house. After a woman’s body is dumped at the house, William begins his meticulous process when he realizes she’s not actually dead. As the gang activity increases, William patches the woman up and holds her against her will until he can figure out what to do. As they begin to develop a very unusual respect for each other, the woman’s murderers get word that she’s still alive and make a plan to go finish what they started.“
