We Summon The Darkness Trailer: Alexandra Daddario Embraces Some Satanic Panic

We Summon the Darkness stars Alexandra Daddario as the leader of a trio of women holding a group of metalheads captive while satanic killers are sweeping through the country. Saban Films has unveiled a trailer for the indie horror thriller, which is being described as an ’80s “metal mayhem joyride” about a group of friends caught in the middle of a killing spree of murderous Satanists.

Three best friends – Alexis, Val, and Beverly – embark upon a road trip to a heavy metal music festival. Perhaps naively, they bond with three seemingly fun-loving dudes and soon the group heads off to Alexis’ secluded country home for an afterparty. What should be a night of fun and youthful debauchery may instead take a dark, deadly turn. What starts as a party suddenly turns dark and deadly in this devilishly entertaining thriller.

Alexandra Daddario leads a cast that also includes Keaan Johnson (Alita: Battle Angel), Maddie Hasson (The Finder), Logan Miller (Escape Room), Amy Forsyth (Hell Fest), Austin Swift (Live By Night), Allison McAtee (The Haves and the Have Nots) and Johnny Knoxville (MTV’s Jackass).

We Summon The Darkness

We Summon the Darkness is directed by American filmmaker Marc Meyers, director of the indie films Approaching Union Square, Harvest, How He Fell in Love, My Friend Dahmer, and also this year’s Human Capital previously. The screenplay is written by Alan Trezza. The film originally premiered at Fantastic Fest last fall, where it earned early buzz as a crowd-pleasing throwback horror-comedy with a standout performance from Daddario. Later, it also played at the Splat! Horror Film Festival in Poland, and Molins Film Festival in Spain. It will premiere on VOD later this April.
