Becky: Kevin James Is An Extremely Dangerous and Bearded Killer

Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment have released the first trailer for the new thriller, Becky and it stars Kevin James as a murderous Nazi. This ain’t The King of Queens!

The film follows spunky and rebellious, Becky (Lulu Wilson) who is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (Joel McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Kevin James), suddenly invade the lake house. Becky, not daddy’s little girl anymore, decides to take matters into her own hands.

The big takeaway for this is, of course, Kevin James. The actor/comedian plays a villain for the very first time in the home invasion thriller, which has landed an “R” rating for extreme violence. James plays a bearded, bald-headed Nazi making Becky a far cry from Paul Blart.

Quiver Co-President Berry Meyerowitz said in a previous statement.

“In Becky, Kevin delivers a chilling performance in his first villainous role, especially playing against rising star Lulu Wilson in an epic head-to-head battle. We are thrilled to bring Becky to audiences so they can see Kevin in a whole new light.”

In addition to Lulu Wilson, Joel Mchale, and Kevin James, Becky also features Amanda Brugel and Robert Maillet. Becky is co-directed by filmmakers Jonathan Milott & Cary Murnion, both directors of the films Cooties and the 2017 underseen what-if-the-southern-states-invaded-New-York action-thriller Bushwick. They’ve done quite a bit of TV work as well. The screenplay is written by Nick Morris, Lane Skye, and Ruckus Skye.

This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere as of yet but it will be hitting VOD later this June and possibly find its way into select Drive-Ins, which are seeing a huge surge in attendance due to COVID-19.
