Villains Emerge in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Trailer

Get ready for June to turn green. Not only from the great weather and the accompanying plant bloom, but the greenbacks that’ll be exchanged at the box office as audiences flock to see more Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action. That’s right, the heroes in a half shell are back in the inevitable sequel to the 2014 hit. And their new foes can’t wait.

There’s no surprise there. Someone had to fill in the power vacuum after the turtles put the kibosh to Shredder in the first movie. And what an ensemble of lowlife scum! Long-time fans will immediately recognize the mutated boar Bebop and rhino Rocksteady in movie trailer below:

First Wonder Woman Footage Spearheads Cast, Plot

Hey, Wonder Woman fans, remember last year? 2015 was scarce in news of the Amazing Amazon’s first feature-length movie. We covered here at Grizzly Bomb the available info at the time: Chris Pine of Star Trek fame is Wondy’s love interest Steve Trevor; actors Sean Bean and Eva Green were rumored as possible villains; and Lord of the Rings‘ Cate Blanchett was auditioning for…something.

Flash forward a couple of months, and into early 2016. Talk about a night and day difference. The amount of teaser information is almost as overwhelming as the Amazon herself.

First Gal Gadot, who plays the warrior princess of Paradise Island / Themyscira, shared one of the first images from the movie.

Legends of Tomorrow Roster Grows with Heroes, Villains and Love Interests

Though DC’s Legends of Tomorrow television series doesn’t light up flat screens until next week, news about it continues to stream from various online sources.

Legends, also nicknamed the “Justice League for television”, is an offshoot of the popular Arrow and Flash shows. For the one or two of you who don’t know, the premise is that time traveler Rip Hunter has come from the future to stop the super-villain Vandal Savage. To aid him, Hunter has recruited heroes from the aforementioned series: White Canary, Firestorm, the Atom, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

Marvel’s NetFlix Lineup: Daredevil S2 Return, Jessica Jones’ Future, & Luke Cage’s Change of Venue

Think villains are rough? Trying facing the real-world networks. That’s what Marvel characters Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage encountered as their series underwent the scrutiny of parent television company Netflix. (We dealt with Iron Fist’s issues like racial background in an earlier post.)

For weeks, Daredevil fans have been forced to wait impatiently to find out when season two was supposed to start. Waiting hit a frenzy with shots of the violent vigilante Punisher and the enigmatic and future squeeze / love interest Elektra hit the Internet.

Independence Day Sequel Sans Will Smith Blows up World with First Trailer

We Always Knew They Would Come Back

With those words, the first trailer to the Independence Day sequel had geeks hyperventilating in barely-suppressed “I told you so!” gasps. Fat fingers ached in trying to keep up sharing the video fast enough on social media. As of this writing, Independence Day: Resurgence has garnered over 16M views and 72k+ in likes on YouTube.

Marvel’s Iron Fist: NetFlix Casting Dogged by Controversy

Daredevil‘s gotten rave reviews. Same with Jessica Jones. The upcoming Luke Cage series looks to flex as yet another win for Netflix even though it’s still months away. So why’s Iron Fist having a hard time getting out of the dojo?

Rumors of cancellation have been swirling for months by fans who hadn’t heard a whiff of incense from Netflix and Marvel about the series. There was even talk that a Punisher series would replace it. Finally, Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television, addressed the issue:
