Ahead of its long overdue home entertainment release this month, Warner Bros. has dropped a wide array of remastered clips from Batman: The Complete Television Series, as well as a split-screen sample which shows just how much of an improvement has been made on the original transfers. This is going to be one helluva Blu-Ray Collector’s set.

SDCC 2013: Blu-ray Exclusives – The Adamantium Collection, Predator and Dexter
Comic Con is always a place for exclusives, and 20th Century Fox have outdone themselves this year. They have released photos of a new boxset only available to pre-order at Comic Con. This Blu-ray set features not only every X-Men movies, but also The Wolverine. This is great timing as the film comes out on the weekend and fans will be clambering for X-related goodies. It looks simply stunning and actually quite life-like. Hopefully this will be on general release soon as something this amazing should not be kept as an exclusive.

Weekly New Release Report – 12/05/12
We here at Grizzly Bomb want to make sure that everyone knows exactly what’s going on this week in pop culture so we’ve decided to add yet another weekly segment. Here we will update you on what’s coming out this week on DVD/Blu-Ray, music, gaming and what’s in theaters to make sure you don’t miss out any of the good stuff. Or if it’s Twilight weekend, what to avoid when you about to head to the theater. We’re calling this the Weekly New Release Report, and our opening one covers the week of December 3rd, 2012. We figure this might help with your holiday shopping ideas so we’ll just do the work for you in gathering the ideas so you can just sit back and order from your computer while you continue to play Call of Duty and avoid the sunlight.
DVD/Blu-Ray Movies:
Looking at the list of new releases, I think the big one to look at is obviously The Dark Knight Rises. A great movie in its own right, it’s a must have for people to complete their trilogy. Obviously, it also comes with a trilogy box set so in case you’ve missed any of the past movies, they have that available. We also have the 3D release for Finding Nemo and The Odd Life of Timothy Green for those family-centric viewings you may have in store for the holidays. Just watch out with Timothy Green, that end can be a doozy on kids. The ones I’m psyched for are Brazil, Ninja Scroll and the Francis Ford Coppola Collection. Brazil because the old Criterion is out on Blu-Ray and I dug the movie and it was one of the first Criterion Collection DVDs I owned. Ninja Scroll because it’s nostalgic with my anime days and the Francis Ford Coppola collection because Apocalypse Now on Blu-Ray alone is worth the price of admission. Here’s the full list coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray this week:

Finding Nemo (Five-Disc Ultimate Collector’s Edition)

In television DVDs, we have the third season of Eastbound & Down coming out, along with season 15 of The Simpsons for you enthusiasts that still watch the show. Obviously, more importantly, the second season of Star Trek: TNG is out as well so we would hope that you’re picking that up. TV listings… Engage:

Music:
Here are some options for music. Admittedly, the only one that would garner any interest would be the re-release of the of the Smashing Pumpkins – Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness, but it’s exorbitantly expensive. I figured to list it for you ready to burn some money from your pocket.
Florida Georgia Line – Here’s To The Good Times
The Smashing Pumpkins – Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness
Video Games:
The two big releases are Far Cry 3 (which has been getting some great reviews out there) and the Mass Effect Trilogy. If you haven’t played Mass Effect, DO IT NOW. Such a great series to play and it is BioWare at their finest since the Knights of the Old Republic games came out a decade ago.
In Theaters This Weekend:
It’s a quiet weekend in theaters before The Hobbit steps into town next week, so we have Deadfall, with Eric Bana, Olivia Wilde and Charlie Hunnam, which looks like a cool movie and they actually made it available for VOD so you can check that out before it hits theaters. We also have Playing for Keeps, which generates a fart sound if anything. Gerard Butler, dude seriously, get a new agent.
That’s it for our brand new segment, and we hope it helped with some of your holiday shopping. We’ll be back next week with more of the Weekly New Release Report!

‘Batman: Year One’ Trailer Debuts!
We’ve seen and spoke a little bit about the next movie coming out from the DC Animated Collection, and I think it’s one most fans are very excited to see. Known as one of the greatest storylines in not just Batman, but comics altogether. It was a bit of a surprise that DC chose this as their next title to adapt, but it makes this fanboy very, very happy.
