Trump, Yates, Comey, Nunes and Flynn: A Digestable Timeline

With comparisons to Richard Nixon swirling, and investigations ramping up, I thought it might be helpful for everyone – liberal or conservative – to have a breakdown of what’s going on. There’s a lot to digest, and there are accusations flying every which way, so let’s just get some the facts out there and the order in which things have transpired.

Scum of The Week – Disney

It was difficult for me to pin down a scum bag for this week, because there just weren’t enough degenerates doing idiotic, degrading things. But I’ve found my scum champion finally in the form of the family friendly entertainment empire Disney. You might ask, why Disney? That’s Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and all of those other cool and loveable characters!

Well, I just have a problem with the fact that Disney has trademarked a certain name, that name being SEAL Team 6. They’re the ones who completed the mission that killed Osama Bin Laden, in case you hadn’t heard anything about that story in the news. And I’m not even griping about this one from a political aspect, because here at Grizzly Bomb we don’t get into all that crap. It just amazes me that certain shit gets trademarked. Perfect example: Donald Trump trademarking the phrase “You’re Fired”. And just the other week Dr. Kronner trademarked the color blue. It’s ridiculous.

Here’s the tiny article from Deadline:

FishbowlNY uncovered three trademark applications that Disney made in early May to claim the rights to the phrase “SEAL Team 6” covering “entertainment and education services,” “toys, games and playthings” and “clothing, footwear and headwear.”

Seriously Disney, I can’t wait to see the SEAL Team 6 toys that you market to the kids. I only hope that we get to see Mickey Mouse with a sniper rifle, and Donald Duck with night vision goggles. I can only imagine there will be a whole plethora of SEAL Team 6 movies about the Bin Laden mission and Disney will be the only one allowed to have a movie named exactly that. Not only do they now have ABC, ESPN and Marvel Comics in the grasp of their scum covered fingers, but maybe next they’ll privatize the army and own every branch of the military too! Yeah it seems a little far fetched I would expect nothing less of our scum of the week!

Piranha 3DD!

Piranha 3D was a decent horror flick. (More like a comedy for me) It must have had a good budget because the special effects weren’t too bad and they had quite a few recognizable faces in it. You would probably call actors like Elizabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Richard Dreyfuss and Jerry O’Connell washed up actors but they are recognizable faces nonetheless. I can’t bring myself to put Christopher Lloyd in that same category because of my love for Back to the Future. According to Yahoo!, Lloyd, Rhames and ‘The League‘ star Paul Scheer will all be returning for the sequel.

So the next Pirhana flick will be called Piranha 3DD, and I really have no f–king idea what the extra D is for. A funny play on words perhaps, (the third piranha movie will be 3DDD?) or maybe a lot of the chicks in it will be sporting double D’s? I’m not sure. But maybe, just maybe the extra stands for: Gary Busey? I know that makes no sense but regardless he will be in Piranha 3DD.

Gary Busey as you may know is f–kin’ nuts. The Gary Busey Show was the last thing I saw him in and I couldn’t figure out if he needed to go into rehab or desperately needed a lobotomy. The show sucked and I hear now you can see his crazy ass on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice. I’m glad Busey will be in this newest fish-fest because he will make it that much more hilarious. Speaking of hilarity, one of my favorite funny guys will be in the movie as well. David Koechner will be joining the Busey in combating (I hope) crazy hyper evolved piranhas. I don’t know what it is about Koechner but every time I see him in a movie I laugh instantly upon seeing him. I laugh even harder after the character he is playing speaks, the man just has a natural talent for it.

Also joining the 3D fray will be 30 Rock actress Katrina Bowden, who plays Cerie on the show. No word on if she was will play a level headed female lead character or one of the many beautiful party girls that become fish food like in the first Piranha.

After this installment I would imagine the franchise will move to the straight to DVD realm, unless Piranha 3DD somehow manages to churn up as much money as it’s predecessor.

Sadly there will be no more of her in the sequel

2011 NHL PLayoffs: ‘Sharks vs Red Wings’ – After 2 Games…

Well well well, it looks like the Sharks CAN play defense after all. I guess I should start this off with a much deserved apology to one Mr. Dan Boyle who I openly criticized in my Grizzly Bomb debut. Just like the great Donald Trump, I’ll fully take credit for the turn around in not only his play, but the teams recommitment to defense, and assume it was because they took my criticism to heart.

In all seriousiocity (yes I make up my own words as well, cause I’m that awesome), Boyle has been a defensive machine by blanketing and frustrating Zetterberg and Datsyuk in the offensive zone. Another thing I’ll take credit for is the return of Niemi’s spine. The dude appears to be back to his old form only letting in 2 goals in the first two games, as opposed to the 6 he let in during the first two games against LA. It’s these two 180 degree turns in the play of San Jose that have put up 2-0 in the series.

So what’s going on with Detroit? What happened between games 1 and 2? Even though they played a very solid game through out, the game 1 loss was nothing more than a bad bounce on shot tossed toward the net in hopes of something good happening. Not really much in game 1 to dissect and criticize. Game 2 on the other hand is a completely different beast. The wings came out just plain flat for the entire game. Not even in the final minutes of the third did you see much desperation or jump in their steps to try a tie it up. I would have expected to see the ‘Game 2 Wings’ in game 1, after 8 days of rest. Not after a day of rest and a game 1 overtime loss.

Another area of concern that surfaced in game 2 was the health of Johan Franzen. The dude is definitely not 100% right now, and the knee is keeping him from living up to ‘The Mule’ nickname he has and getting the production from him that they so desperately need. The one bright spot for Detroit right now is Jimmy Howard. So far in two games he’s stopped 79 of 83 shots for a .952 save percentage.  Hopefully returning home to Joe Louis will spark the Wing’s offense and give Howard the help he needs.

All in all, this series is shaping up to be as good as what everyone thought it would be going  in. Game 2 was a bit more physical than I think people expected, but hey, that just makes things that much better. I’m still sticking with my prediction of Wings in 7……… for now…..

They should just do this…
