Elisabeth Moss To Star In Neo-Noir Anthology Series Black Match For Hulu

In the wake of the success of The Invisible Man, Elisabeth Moss has started crafting several new and interesting genre projects, including what sounds like a nifty little piece of anthology television that could see one of the best actresses working today taking on Femme Fatales and a neo-noir Los Angeles.

It’s being reported that Moss is developing an anthology titled Black Match for Hulu, in which she will star. The series is described as a psychosexual neo-noir thriller set in modern-day Los Angeles and comes from an original script written by Ian McCulloch. Mike Barker is attached to direct the pilot, who previously directed Moss in twelve episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale, and has shows like Fargo and Outlander on his resume.

Above Suspicion: Emilia Clarke Stars In True-Crime Thriller

The Game of Thrones actress stars in the new film based on Joe Sharkey’s 1993 non-fiction book of the same name, which came from a true story. Now, Australia’s Madman Films has debuted the official international trailer for the new true-crime thriller Above Suspicion, the latest film from the director Phillip Noyce.

Clarke stars as Susan Smith, an impoverished woman, who is living in an Appalachian mountain town in Kentucky. She agrees to be a police informant to make some extra cash, providing information on a local bank robber. When she is matched-up with FBI agent Mark Putnam (Boardwalk Empire‘s Jack Huston), the two become romantically involved. She sees in him her means of escape; instead, it is a ticket to disaster for both of them. This scandal shook the foundations of the nation’s top law enforcement agency, ending in the first-ever conviction of an FBI agent for murder.

Cinemax’s Femme Fatales: 212 – Libra

A sexy superhero, an undercover cop, a mafia boss fighting for control, and good ol’ Cuesta Verde – it looks like Femme Fatales is going out with a bang (I apologize for using the same joke from a previous review but I can’t resist). The final episode of season 2 has aired and it’s called Libra. It is one of the more ambitious episodes of the series so they decided to make it a special hour long episode to close on a high note. They brought in some old and new friends to cap off the season and have succeeded in making it a successful send off which makes us want more of Libra.
