ITGS: Avengers Assemble’s Chris Burns

We write a lot of articles here at Grizzly Bomb about TV shows, movies, comics… pretty much anything and everything entertainment related. But it’s always coming from our perspective, our point of view. So it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the newest feature at GB, where we will take it to another level, and see it from a different perspective. Where he head… Inside The Grizzly Studio.

For the past few weeks I’ve been showing you one of my new favorite things, Avengers Assemble: The Series. You can check out some of the episodes here, here and here. Season 2 recently premiered over at avengersassembletheseries.com, and it was hilarious. Some of the cast were gracious enough to talk with us about the series and Season 2, which is where we’ll start off today.

Avengers Assemble: The Series – Episodes 3, 4 and 5

It’s been a little while since I visited this web series, and my life has definitely been lacking some Avengers humor. So it’s only fair that to make up for that I will be bringing you three episodes this post! Three!

And no, I’m not doing that because Season 2 starts today and I want to catch up. Really. Mostly.

Avengers Assemble: The Series – Episode I ‘Healthcare’

I think we’ve really own scratched the surface of Original Web Series that are floating around on the web. We’ve talked about a couple, such as the new Mortal Kombat: Legacy series, and the funny yet frightening Psycho Ex-Girlfriend. So now I think it’s time to bring you another series that I have become a huge fan of. It’s called Avengers Assemble. It takes a look into the more humorous, and often more human side of the Avengers.

The series starts off with an average Avengers meeting. But as the season progresses you get to see a cast full of hilarious versions of our favorite characters in a sometimes raunchy, often times hilarious, and most times refreshing parody of the Avengers; tasked by Human Resources and dealing with budget cut. I could keep rambling but I think I’ll just show you the first episode:

“Jan, what happened to your eye?”

“I fell into a door…”    Continue reading Avengers Assemble: The Series – Episode I ‘Healthcare’

Marvel Comic Review: X-men Legacy #248: Age of X Aftermath

This issue was a must, with everyone being left without any closure and wondering what the after effects of the Age of X would have on our favorite mutants. I also wondered what the heck happened to Legion at the end? Didn’t Xavier say they didn’t know where he was? How would they deal with him? Would anyone smack Dr. Nemesis in the face for dropping the ball on his treatment on Legion? I would say all of that was answered in this issue for the most part.

Marvel Comic Review: Fear Itself – Book 2

Fear Itself rages on as Thor is imprisoned by his father Odin, the ‘Hammers of the Worthy’ fall, and the Serpent unleashes his wave of terror across the world! If I could choose one word to describe this issue it would simply be: Chaos. Things are moving along at break neck speed and the heroes of the Marvel Universe are rushing to contain these newest attacks. Not much happened in the story department, aside from a few of the Worthy being revealed, but from the looks at the end of the issue we’ll have to pick up a few tie ins to see the others getting their hammers. If you haven’t read my review of the first issue I suggest you do that, but otherwise read onward into *spoiler* territory!
