Rogue: Megan Fox Vs Ravenous Lions In First Trailer

Not to be confused with that Australian alligator movie, Lionsgate has released an official trailer for a newly minted Rogue. This time an action movie and the latest from director M.J. Bassett (Deathwatch, Solomon Kane, Silent Hill: Revelation).

Rogue tells the story of a small mercenary unit of soldiers who have been engaged by the governor of an African country to rescue his daughter who has been kidnapped. This unit goes in, there’s more than one girl so their plan is immediately compromised, and then their extraction goes wrong. So, suddenly they find themselves on the run from the bad guys, looking for refuge in Africa, and come across an abandoned farm, or they think it’s abandoned. While they’re hunkering down they realize that the farm was used as a poachers’ stronghold and a breeding place for lions for the hunting industry and the East Asian medicinal market. And though the lions seem to have escaped, there’s clearly one still around.

With the release of the latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, we couldn’t have been more excited to see DC’s Trinity stand united on the big screen for the first time. Exclusive Simon Kinberg Interview: Rogue, Apocalypse & The Future of X-Men

With X-Men: Days of Future Past coming out on DVD/Blu-ray on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, we get to view what is arguably the best of the X-movies right in the comfort of our own homes. Of course, there will be a lot of special features on the discs and we know that there will be some deleted scenes and features we’ll be dying to see, like the previous incarnation of the kitchen sequence. We know that X-Men: Apocalypse will be coming along in a few years with a gaggle of other X-Movies to accompany the franchise. One of the people shepherding these movies to a new phase is screenwriter and producer Simon Kinberg. Not only did he write and co-produce X-Men: Days of Future Past, he is also produced and wrote the new Fantastic Four reboot for 20th Century Fox, and helped create the Star Wars: Rebels series, so he definitely has a lot on his plate. We managed to catch a few minutes with Simon and found some great insights into this X-Trilogy, the deleted scenes for Days of Future Past, as well as the future of the franchise and what he’d like to see.

Marvel Comic Review: X-men Legacy #248: Age of X Aftermath

This issue was a must, with everyone being left without any closure and wondering what the after effects of the Age of X would have on our favorite mutants. I also wondered what the heck happened to Legion at the end? Didn’t Xavier say they didn’t know where he was? How would they deal with him? Would anyone smack Dr. Nemesis in the face for dropping the ball on his treatment on Legion? I would say all of that was answered in this issue for the most part.

Marvel Comics: Ultimate Universe Reborn…Again!

Fans of Marvel’s Ultimate line will in no way be surprised to hear that once again, a new creative team will be taking the reins of the line and completely changing the status quo. It happened before when Jeph Loeb took over and brought about the insane Ultimatum series, which had wide sweeping effects across the whole universe. Basically, every character you really liked ended up dying horribly tragic deaths.

So we were then given Ultimate Comics, a fresh take on what was left of the Ultimates Universe, but it was bogged down with poor shipping schedules and unconnected storylines. So now it has been announced that the new creators Jonathan Hickman and Nick Spencer are coming in to turn the Ultimate U. into a more cohesive involved universe, promising at least monthly shipping and another batch of wide sweeping chances to kick off after the “Death of Spider-Man” storyline currently running in Brian Michael BendisUltimate Spider-Man.

Over the last week they have revealed 4 books that will be released under the new Ultimate Comics Reborn initiative, so keep reading to see if your favorites make the cut.

Marvel Comic Review: Age of X Chapter 6

Chapter Six – New Mutants #24

Age of X has been a thoroughly enjoyable read. I’ve not picked up many X-Titles in quite awhile because nothing has really interested me since Messiah War or Second Coming. This arc, though not as in-depth as either of those arcs I mentioned above, was definitely a well crafted story that I don’t think anyone was able to piece together too quickly. I picked my brain apart and still couldn’t figure out what was happening until it was revealed to be Legion behind the whole Age of X universe and that none of it was real. It was something that he created, or at least one of the many personas he was creating and discarding during Dr. Nemesis’ work on his psyche.

Marvel Comic Reviews – Age of X: Chapters 3 & 4

The X-Men’s ‘Age of X’ continues in X-men: Legacy #246 and New Mutants #23.

X-Men: Legacy #246

The story continues with Rogue on the run to escape Fortress X. But to where? And hunted by the likes of Moonstar and Eclipse (Sunspot) what chance does she even stand of escaping?

She carries with her the puzzle of why Kitty Pryde had a camera with pictures of nothing on it, saying “he told me to take pictures” and why (Highlight to read spoiler) *Charles Xavier* has memories of everyone at the fortress when he has never met any of them. After Gambit begins to aid Rogue in her escape, Magneto calls off all his followers and takes matters into his own hands by dropping tons of rubble upon them while everyone watches, proclaiming that is what happens to traitors.

The issue ends with Wolverine (who is sympathetic to Rogue) talking to Basilisk/Cyclops about getting to the bottom of things. A menacing looking Basilisk agrees.

*Spoilers follow. BEWARE!*
