The Mandalorian: Check Out The Newest Trailer For Season 2

Disney and Lucasfilm unveiled the latest trailer for the highly anticipated sophomore season of The Mandalorian during Monday Night Football. The full trailer gives us some more glimpses of Baby Yoda, along with a few new characters that Star Wars fans might recognize.

The Mandalorian season 2 will focus on the continuing adventures of bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his new charge, The Child (otherwise known as Baby Yoda). Rosario Dawson is playing Ahsoka Tano, Temuera Morrison is on board as notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett, Timothy Olyphant as likely playing a character named Cobb Vanth who wears Boba Fett’s famous armor, Katee Sackhoff is playing Bo-Katan, and Michael Biehn has joined the cast as some sort of bounty hunter. Carl Weathers is reprising his role as Greef Karga, Gina Carano is back as former Stormtrooper Cara Dune, and Giancarlo Esposito‘s villainous Moff Gideon continues his hunt for The Child.

Is The Mandalorian Making A Mistake With Season 2?

We’ve seen all too often movie sequels take missteps after great starts. Be it too many villains – the ’90s Batman sequels, Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, etc. – or too much reliance on bringing back past characters, which has been a big knock on much of the Disney-Era Star Wars Universe. Too much reliance on the Skywalkers makes a vast galaxy seem small.

The Lightsaber: Science v. Fiction

An elegant weapon from a more civilized age, the lightsaber has fascinated fans and inspired scientists, but will the Jedi here on Earth ever have a chance to wield one?

The premiere of the ultimate weapon of the future (past?) in the 1977 film Star Wars changed backyard battles around the world, transforming everything from wrapping paper tubes to broom handles into glowing, vwooming, bone slicing sabers. Surely this was something science would solve by the time you reached adulthood, but alas, it was not.

From Princess To General: New Star Wars Canon Examines Leia’s Journey

The power of the force is stronger than ever, and the heroes of the Star Wars Saga are on fans minds as they haven’t been in decades. In honor of International Women’s Day, let us turn our thoughts to one of our bravest heroes, the rebel that started it all, Leia Organa (played by Carrie Fisher in the films). While fans well know the fate of her twin brother, her story is only just now being told.

From all corners of the Star Wars extended universe Leia’s back story is being laid out like so many puzzle pieces. Fellow Disney property Marvel Comics released a five-issue comic last summer chronicling Leia’s own adventures just after she doesn’t give Chewie a medal in the closing scene of Star Wars: A New Hope.
