Disney and Lucasfilm unveiled the latest trailer for the highly anticipated sophomore season of The Mandalorian during Monday Night Football. The full trailer gives us some more glimpses of Baby Yoda, along with a few new characters that Star Wars fans might recognize.

The Mandalorian season 2 will focus on the continuing adventures of bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his new charge, The Child (otherwise known as Baby Yoda). Rosario Dawson is playing Ahsoka Tano, Temuera Morrison is on board as notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett, Timothy Olyphant as likely playing a character named Cobb Vanth who wears Boba Fett’s famous armor, Katee Sackhoff is playing Bo-Katan, and Michael Biehn has joined the cast as some sort of bounty hunter. Is The Mandalorian Making A Mistake With Season 2?

We’ve seen all too often movie sequels take missteps after great starts. Be it too many villains – the ’90s Batman sequels, Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, etc. – or too much reliance on bringing back past characters, which has been a big knock on much of the Disney-Era Star Wars Universe. Too much reliance on the Skywalkers makes a vast galaxy seem small.

Slimmest of Possibilities; Rumors Swirl Around Deadwood Movie

From 2004-2006 HBO ran one of the best shows in the premium network’s history. That show was Deadwood, and it told a story of early South Dakota, and how a mining camp became a city. The story was told with a Shakespearean poetry to the dialogue, spoken by colorful characters and boasting a cast of extremely talented actors.  But the story wasn’t cheap to tell, costing HBO about $5 million an episode to produce, and failed to get the kind of ratings that they saw with The Sopranos, so despite an excellently crafted and incredibly intense end to season three, the show was canceled.

Die Hard 6: Die Hardest – Please Don’t Suck

Well, while most of us assumed that the mess that is A Good Day to Die Hard would be enough to put the once revered franchise out of its misery, it looks more like it’s gonna a X-Men 3 situation – they can’t end the franchise on that sour a note. Or that’s what I’d like to believe. Truth is despite bombing here in the states, the fifth Die Hard movie actually performed pretty well over seas, and that’s enough for FOX to move forward according to early reports.

Justified: Season 4 – Raylan, Boyd, and Patton Oswalt? Plus 3 New Trailers…

My love of Justified is no secret. Raylan Givens is a near perfect TV hero and Boyd Crowder make an excellent foil to our hero. The actors (Olyphant and Goggins) share some of the best on-screen chemistry in all of television. The first 3 years of the FX show have given us some of the best action/drama this side of Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.
