TNT to Resurrect Tales From The Crypt with M. Night Shyamalan

Hello kiddies!

We’ve been hearing for years that the Cryptkeeper would be returning, and for years we’ve been met with disappointment. Back in 2011 rumors surfaced that a new version of the show was being shopped around, and they would be ditching the anthology format. That wasn’t really what we wanted, but if it meant the return of Tales From The Crypt, we’d of taken it. Alas, that fell through.

Now it would seem the show is on track to finally return, this time keeping the anthology concept as part of a new two-hour horror block on TNT. The part that seems to have people worried however, is the name attached to the project – M. Night Shyamalan.

Titans: TNT Reveals Roster For Live Action DC Show

It’s no surprise that DC Comics and Warner Brothers are increasing their domination of the TV comic adaptations, with news coming from different networks about new series like Supergirl and iZombie to join the already successful Gotham, Arrow, The Flash, and to a lesser extent, Constantine. Marvel has been playing catch-up with Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, plus the four Netflix series currently in development (You didn’t miss the first Daredevil trailer, did you?), but DC still holds the advantage. Especially with news of the most recent adaptation in development.

Now TNT is producing a live action adaptation of the Teen Titans simply titled Titans, with Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes acting as writers and executive producers of the series (or at least the pilot). The team have had a place in the animated world for years, with two related Teen Titans series, as well as the fan favorite Young Justice series that also focused on the sidekicks of the DC Universe.

TNT Orders 10 Episodes of ‘Legends’ Starring Sean Bean

Well, a new show, about undercover work, starring Sean Bean. I’m sure this series won’t end with the untimely death of its lead character. That would be getting ahead of ourselves though. Despite starring the ‘Human Spoiler Alert’ himself, this is a show, based upon the novel by Robert Littell, Legends tells the story of…

“a deep-cover operative who has an uncanny ability to transform himself into a different person for each job. But his own identity comes into question when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn’t who he thinks he is.”

Take a look at the trailer…

Southland Season 6: Renewal Still an Uncertainty

With all the Game of Thrones excitement around here lately, one of television’s best shows might have had its final episode ever a couple of weeks ago, and no one is talking about it. I’m referring to TNT’s Southland, which is without a doubt the best cop show on TV. Rescued from the stupid clutches of NBC who tried to cancel it during its first season, TNT swooped in and saved the day. That was in 2009.

TNT’s Falling Skies: 2.03 – “Compass”

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo – not Jimmy! Why!?!?!?!?

Not little orphan Jimmy. Anybody, but Jimmy. Who is Captain Weaver going to love now??? Tell me it’s not true… Oh, but it is true. This week, we kick off the episode with the death of Captain Weaver’s beloved Orphan Jimmy. How did Jimmy get himself offed you might be asking? Well, he decided to make a poor life choice. He decided to tag along with the alien-boy Ben on Skidder hunting trips of instead of patrolling the perimeter as ordered. We see the two have a successful hunting trip in the opening of the episode, but guess who pressed his luck one too many times. RIP little soldier, RIP.

#15 – Countdown to Christmas: A CHRISTMAS STORY

In 1983, one of the most iconic and over-played Christmas movies released. It was called “A Christmas Story“.

Some of you may be sick of this film by now because TV has ruined it. Not only do they chop it up, but it plays on loop for 24 straight hours beginning on Christmas Eve every year. I however, still love this movie for so many reasons! In A Christmas Story, Ralphie (Peter Billingsly) is just a geeky kid in glasses who gets picked on sometimes and has an annoying little brother. The plot for this entire movie revolved around what Ralphie wants for Christmas: A Red Ryder BB gun. This does not sound like it would make a good movie, but this film is absolutely hilarious because of the little things.

TNT’s Falling Skies: Season Finale Review (Mutiny/Eight Hours)

Oh man alien invader fans, 2 hour season finale!!!! Whose excited?!?! THIS GUY!!! So let’s get started with Part 1, hour 1: MUTINY.

We open with the good Dr. Anne breaking the bad news to Tom about what she found examining the skidder, and I must say he takes it better than I would have thought for someone who just heard his middle child might sprout six legs. We next join or rededicated Captain Weaver who is planning the upcoming attack with new comer Lieutenant Danner. I mention this because this planning session is taking place WITHOUT the second in command, Tom. Uh oh, trouble is a brewing and we have our premise for this episode. We finally see the battle between the two that the writers have been tip-toeing around all season. No sooner than Weaver mentions awaiting Dai to return with orders from Porter, does he coming riding up on his motorcycle, and the dude is f-ed up.

TNT’s Falling Skies: Episode 8: What Hides Beneath

Ok so sorry about missing last weeks episode recap and review, but I got super tied up at work…. and I’m lazy. In all honesty Sanctuary Part 2 was, at best, 2 out of 5 grizzlies. In short, the 2nd Mass gets their kids back from Clayton, Clayton dies, Pope has a heart, and the previously harnessed kid, Rik, thinks of himself as an alien now. That’s it… One sentence. BOOM. Efficiency.

Falling Skies: Episode 6 – “Sanctuary Part 1” Review

If you missed any past episodes: Click Here.

We open up this weeks episode with the good doctor getting rolled for medical supplies by a family wishing to leave the protection of the 2nd Mass. They fear things are not safe after the death of Dr. Coward and the arrival of the harnessed kids last week. What a bunch of ungrateful bitches. Needless to say, they are able to leave, but a soldier stops them and confiscates the stolen medicine. Who was this mystery man you ask??? Well he turns out to be the Lieutenant Clayton, one of the few survivors of the 7th Mass, and he comes bearing bad news. Not only was a majority of the 7th Mass killed and their children taken, but a skidder attack is soon approaching. Don don dooooooon.

The Good Doctor. Before the invasion.
