Marvel ’92 Variants Will Have You Seeing Flannel, Checking Wizard Guide

Marvel Comics today announced that much of its December line-up will sport variant covers with the characters in their ’90s incarnations and drawn by artists who arguably are best known for work in that era.

The artist perhaps most identified with the high-flying (speculation-wise) ’90s, Rob Liefeld, will be responsible for two of the covers: All-New X-Men #3  and Deadpool #3 (a character whom Liefield co-created). Ron Lim, who was artist on the fine ’90s Guardians of the Galaxy run, written by Jim Valentino, is on two covers, as is Dale Keown, our favorite Hulk artist.

The full list follows, along with six previews that Marvel distributed this morning. We’re also excited about Larry Stroman, Ron Lim, and J. Scott Campbell — but we’re  especially thrilled to see what TBD brings to the table. Curiously, we don’t remember him or her from the ’90s.
