Disney and Lucasfilm unveiled the latest trailer for the highly anticipated sophomore season of The Mandalorian during Monday Night Football. The full trailer gives us some more glimpses of Baby Yoda, along with a few new characters that Star Wars fans might recognize.

The Mandalorian season 2 will focus on the continuing adventures of bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his new charge, The Child (otherwise known as Baby Yoda). Rosario Dawson is playing Ahsoka Tano, Temuera Morrison is on board as notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett, Timothy Olyphant as likely playing a character named Cobb Vanth who wears Boba Fett’s famous armor, Katee Sackhoff is playing Bo-Katan, and Michael Biehn has joined the cast as some sort of bounty hunter. The Deadpool Movie: Featuring Gina Carano, T.J. Miller and Colossus?

With one quick tease from Ryan Reynolds, the news machine has started rolling on the upcoming Deadpool film, which is still over a year away. Reynolds shared a picture from the Deadpool camp showing us a little tease of the mask he will be wearing in Fox’s long-awaited solo film for the merc-with-a-mouth, a character Ryan Reynolds has been waiting to properly bring to the big screen for years.

Gina Carano to Star in Film Adaptation of Avengelyne

Last week, the Grizzly Bomb editors got together to write-up a casting couch for the forthcoming Justice League movie. Amidst said casting couch feature was the notion to have MMA fighter turned actress Gina Carano play the role of Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman! I thought that was a fantastic pick and wouldn’t have minded one bit had that happened. Actually, I wouldn’t mind it still happening, but who’s to say at this point since Carano is now going to be the star of a different and more unexpected comic book movie adaptation: Avengelyne.

Who is Avengelyne you ask? Well she’s a fallen angel who battles demons on Earth to prepare for the coming apocalypse of course! Created by Rob Liefield in 1995, and presented by Maximum Press comics, I can’t remember much of the series except a scantily clad heroine with Rob Liefield’s over  imagining of what is necessary for female breasts. That’s not to say the movie won’t be good.

IGN is stating that Liefield will be “re-conceiving” and “rebuilding” the comic story to fit with Carano and it will have an Underworld vibe ala Kate Beckinsale. And I’ll be the first to say I didn’t mind some of the shortcomings of the Underworld franchise as long as Kate Beckinsale graced the screen.

Carano has proven herself to be pretty capable with her acting hat on, as evidenced in Fast and Furious 6 and Haywire. Who knows, even if Avengelyne is not a commercial success maybe it can still be her audition for a role in the Justice League movie as Wonder Woman.

6 Fast 6 Furious Has a Longer Trailer; Also Defies Logic and Physics

That’s right people, just when you think you can escape Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, they decide to buckle up and give you Fast & Furious 6. Everyone saw the ridiculousness of the trailer that was done during the Super Bowl but you’re in for a treat. You think having a tank and a car exploding out of the nose of an airplane was all you were going to get before Memorial Day 2013? That would be wrong my friends, because they released the full extended look trailer on the internet. It’s below, so watch that and I’ll give my comments afterwards. Try not to run out and buy a 24-pack of Mountain Dew afterwards by the way.

This movie is basically caffeine and video games with a dash of tearing a physics book in half, wrapped up into one crazy movie. Admittedly, I enjoy the Fast & Furious movies. They are easy fluff that I can sit down and watch without having to think. Granted, mostly because the script never bothers to think at all but Fast Five was actually extremely entertaining. Anyways, we see the return of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) as a possible villain and the addition of Gina Carano as well to beat up everything in her path as the new right hand woman to Dwayne Johnson’s agent character.

So basically we get London, Luke Evans as the main baddie, the captain guy from The Raid: Redemption, planes, tanks, and automobiles. And a lot of stupidly awesome stunts that would wreck a person in real life. Luckily, in movie world, it looks amazing with what they are able to pull off. Justin Lin, who directed Better Luck Tomorrow, a great indie movie, before he became the go-to guy in destroying cars, is at the wheel again for this movie and now has directed the last four Fast & Furious movies. He has definitely got a great eye for set pieces and this movie is no different. Makes you wonder what he’d do with the Terminator 5 movie…

Anyways, this movie comes out on Memorial Day weekend 2013. Yeah, it won’t be poignant or deep but man, it’ll be a helluva ride. That’s right, I just about ended this article with a cliche. But hey, if the above picture can have Paul Walker playing white boy, the token asian character, the rapper/actor and his R&B singer/actor, with the model/actor and Vin Diesel crossing his arms not smiling, we should all embrace the cliche train.

Behold the wonder that is the Diesel and exotic cars!!!!

In the Blood: Gina Carano to star in ‘Miss-Taken’. Get It? No? Whatever.

First, I have not seen Haywire, so I do not know how good Gina Carano translates to the big screen, but people seem to like her. Secondly, I think it’s ridiculous, but someone ordered an action script from the writers of Dumb & Dumber. Third off, John Stockwell, the director of this movie, just loves tropical vacation environments. Put these three together, and you have the next action movie starring the next big thing Gina Carano – likely in a bikini.

Grizzly Review: Haywire

When I think of Steven Soderbergh, I definitely don’t think of the terms “out-of-touch” or “has-been”. He’s a cinematic chameleon who is able to stay relevant while still sticking to his guns. His Ocean’s trilogy are among some of the best heist movies in recent years. Traffic is one of the best films you’ll see on the drug trade. Last year’s Contagion is a disturbing and stylish take on disease and a rather accurate take on what would probably happen.
